About Northeastern University

Northeastern University (NEU) is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is part of the prestigious “211 Project,” “985 Project,” and the national “Double First-Class” initiative.

Founded in 1923, the university was originally established to cultivate engineering talent and has since evolved into a comprehensive institution that integrates engineering, science, humanities, management, economics, law, and medicine. NEU enjoys a strong reputation both in China and internationally and is known as the “cradle of engineers.”

The university has two campuses in Shenyang and Qinhuangdao, covering over 4,000 acres. It has 20 schools, offers 76 undergraduate programs, and hosts multiple national key laboratories and research centers.
