Institution Introduction

Aix-Marseille University (AMU) is France’s largest multidisciplinary university, with five internationally recognized campuses, 80,000 students, and 8,000 faculty and staff. It is a research-intensive university with 122 research institutes affiliated with major national research organizations.

Founded in 1409 by Louis II, Count of Provence, AMU was restructured in 2012, merging:

· Provence University (Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences)

· Mediterranean University (Science, Medicine, and Technology)

· Paul Cézanne University (Law, Economics, and Management)

· September 2026 – Start of Prebachelor Programme at AMU
